The commitment to go above and beyond to ensure the promised “wow” experience for guests of Atlantis, Paradise Island by Atlantis’ best and brightest for the year 2016 was highlighted Monday evening, January 30th, during a gala dinner affair held at Café Martinique. The Crystals – the resort’s year end reward and recognition awards ceremony – featured 35 amazing team members who were selected as the best of the best during the year’s quarterly recognition sessions.
Touting the invaluable service delivered by all of the nominees, resort officials including Chief Operating Officer Audrey Oswell, thanked them for their dedication to ‘blow away the customer.’
President & Managing Director Howard Karawan, in wrapping up the evening, told the nominees and winners alike that Atlantis’ continued success is owed to their true love of what they do, their positive attitude and their sense of moral values. “Yes, we are the largest employer, but size doesn’t have anything to do with it. Size does not dictate greatness. Greatness comes from the soul – it’s not the buildings, it’s not the pool, it’s not the slides, it’s not the food, it’s the people. You are the soul of this company. You are what makes this company great…You guys are the very best we have in The Bahamas and I can not thank you enough for everything you do.”
Winners for the coveted Leader, Manager and Employee of the Year were announced throughout the evening, which was hosted by comedian and businessman David Wallace. Entertainment was provided by the Ting ‘Em Dem Band.
